Petrol station operators being threatened urged to lodge police reports – Saifuddin – eNews Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: Petrol station operators promoting subsidised petrol and diesel who’re threatened by gas smuggling syndicates are urged to lodge police reports.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail mentioned if the difficulty concerned gas working licences, it was underneath the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister (KPDN) and that gas subsidy funds had been managed by the Home Ministry.

“But if there exists any threats towards petrol station operators, then it’s underneath the jurisdiction of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

“If there are any (threats), then the affected occasion has to lodge a police report for PDRM to take additional motion,” he mentioned after attending the crime prevention carnival at Sri Sabah Flats in Cheras right here right this moment.

Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain mentioned the police have but to obtain any police report relating to such threats.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali revealed on Tuesday that there have been petrol station operators being threatened by smuggling syndicates to proceed promoting subsidised diesel to them, and had been intimidated by gangsters and thugs.
