PBS-Star partnership smacks of desperation, rival party says – eNews Malaysia

KOTA KINABALU, April 19 — Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (PKDM) has mocked the pact between Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (Star) as a determined bid to cling on to dwindling help.

KDM vp Dr Oswald Aisat Igau mentioned the pact wouldn’t have an effect on different native events like his, which he claimed to have sturdy grassroots help regardless of being smaller.

He gave examples of former PBS vp Datuk Radin Malleh shedding to PKDM president Datuk Peter Anthony in 2018 and PBS president Datuk Maximus Ongkili shedding the Kota Marudu MP seat to Datuk Wetrom Bahanda in 2022.

He was commenting on the political pact signed by PBS and Star yesterday to work collectively head of the upcoming state elections. Both events touted comparable aspirations for the non-Muslim native group.

PKDM holds two seats within the state meeting and one in Parliament.

PBS holds seven state seats whereas Star holds six.
