LONDON: Pro-Palestinian college students have gathered in protest at universities throughout the UK following violent demonstrations at campuses in the US.
Students in Leeds, Newcastle and Bristol arrange tents outdoors university buildings on Wednesday in protest against the war in Gaza, reported PA Media.
Bristol college students mentioned they staged the motion “in protest of the university’s complicity over Israel’s acts of genocide against the Palestinians”, whereas Apartheid Off Campus Newcastle mentioned its demonstration was to “spotlight the establishment’s funding technique and its complicity over Israeli navy’s war crimes in Gaza and the West Bank”.
Student activists elsewhere held marches and one-off protests.
One camp, at Warwick University, has been arrange in the city’s piazza for per week.

The protests comply with violent clashes at campuses throughout the US, most prominently at Columbia University in New York.
