KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 27 — A safety guard accidentally fired a shot in direction of the ground at a financial institution on Jalan PJU 5/14, Kota Damansara in Petaling Jaya yesterday, shattering the doorway glass door.
However, Petaling Jaya district deputy police chief Supt M. Hussin Sollehuddin Zolkifly mentioned there have been no casualties in the incident.
He mentioned on receiving details about the case at 10.13am from members of the general public who heard a gunshot at the financial institution, a police workforce from the Petaling Jaya District Police Headquarters was assigned to the situation.
“The investigation discovered that the safety guard in his 50s, armed with a pump gun, fired a shot at the ground, which shattered the doorway glass door.
“Incidentally, there was no tried theft, and the safety guard has examined unfavourable for medicine. The investigation is underway below Section 39 of the Arms Act 1960,” he mentioned in an announcement.
