Politician expected to face more charges

KOTA KINABALU: A politician who claimed trial on the Magistrate’s Court on Thursday to 5 counts of molesting two ladies, together with an Unduk Ngadau (UN) contestant, is expected to face two more  charges.

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali stated the 2 charges have been beneath Section 506 of the Penal Code for felony intimidation, and Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures in Infected Areas No. 2) Regulations 2021.

“Investigation papers have been submitted to the Attorney General’s Office for additional motion.

“Whether extra charges are filed will rely on the AG’s workplace,” he stated on Friday.

Philip Among @ Daniel Dell Fidelis, 52, on Thursday pleaded not responsible to 5 charges of outraging the modesty of two ladies.

The businessman and a suspended member of Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR), was charged beneath Section 354 of the Penal Code.

On the primary rely, he was accused of molesting a girl at a front room of a premises at Asia City at 11pm on April 17.

On the second to the fifth counts, he was alleged to have molested the UN contestant at a studio at Asia City, inside a automotive, on the staircase beside a photograph studio and at an workplace at Metrotown at 3.30pm, 9.45pm, 2pm and 10pm respectively on May 19.

He claimed trial to all of the charges.
