PDRM denies issuing advisory on ‘sim swap’ scam – eNews Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) has denied disseminating an advisory on social media relating to the existence of a ‘Sim Swap’ scam.

Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf stated the police had detected the message being circulated on WhatsApp and Facebook, allegedly coming from ‘PDRM CCID’.

“The message is pretend. This division has by no means disseminated such a message and no police studies have been obtained regarding this modus operandi,” he stated in a press release as we speak.
