Court denies Azizi’s interim bid to halt Nenggiri by-election – eNews Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has denied former Nenggiri assemblyman Azizi Abu Naim’s software for a short lived injunction to halt the by-election for the state seat.

Judicial Commissioner Roz Mawar Rozain mentioned the court docket can not restrain the Election Commission (EC) from holding the approaching by-election because it was exercising its constitutional responsibility.

Azizi filed a swimsuit earlier this week to problem his purported sacking by Bersatu in addition to the emptiness of the Nenggiri state seat.

Bersatu mentioned Azizi’s membership ceased after he failed to declare his loyalty to the occasion and due to his continued help for Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s administration.

Azizi, who can be Gua Musang MP, is amongst six Bersatu MPs who’ve pledged help for Anwar.
