Los Angeles freeway blocked by Jewish protesters against Gaza war – eNews Malaysia

LOS ANGELES, Dec 14 — Activists from a Jewish group demanding a ceasefire within the Gaza Strip blocked visitors on a busy Los Angeles freeway throughout yesterday morning’s rush hour and snarled visitors for miles, in line with the California Highway Patrol.

The protesters from the If Not Now organisation sat down on the southbound lanes of the 110 Freeway downtown at about 9am, bringing commuters to a halt. The protesters wore black shirts studying “Not in Our Name” and held up placards demanding Israel halt navy operations in Gaza.

Video on KCAL TV confirmed just a few enraged motorists preventing with protesters earlier than police arrived.

About 75 protesters have been detained when CHP officers started clearing the freeway round 10 am, the freeway patrol stated.
