FAA probes union claims Boeing retaliated against two engineers in 2022 – eNews Malaysia

WASHINGTON, April 24 — The Federal Aviation Administration stated Tuesday it’s investigating a union’s claims that Boeing retaliated against two workers who in 2022 insisted the planemaker re-evaluate prior engineering work on 777 and 787 jets.

The Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) stated the two unidentified engineers have been representatives of the FAA, which delegates a few of its oversight authority and certification course of to Boeing staff.

Last week, Boeing high quality engineer whistleblower Sam Salehpour, who raised questions on Boeing widebody jets, instructed senators he was instructed to “shut up” when he flagged security considerations.
