61 plead not guilty to aiding management of illegal gambling centre – eNews Malaysia

SHAH ALAM: Sixty-one folks pleaded not guilty within the magistrates’ court docket right here at the moment to fees of aiding within the management of an illegal gambling centre at a shopping center in Subang (*61*) final week.

Fifty-eight have been charged with aiding within the management of the illegal gambling premises, and three others have been charged with abetting within the management and operation of the premises at Sky Park @ One City as a platform for gambling.

They have been accused of committing the offences underneath Section 4(1)(c) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953 at 3.15pm on March 18.

The prosecution workforce, led by deputy public prosecutor Nurul Farah Sofea Norazman and consisting of Kamarul Iman Ahmad Sapian, Saidah Fasihah Che Yussoff and Annur Athirah Amran, supplied bail of RM10,000 for every accused.

Lawyers Navin Punj, Dinesh Kumar, Premjeet Singh Gil, Paramjit Kaur and New Sin Yew, who represented all of the accused, pleaded for a decrease bail as a result of they’ve households to take care of and had cooperated with the police.
